I have 1 hard with 2 partitions and I want to move minecraft to the second partition. I backed up my files and deleted minecraft from the C: drive and redownloaded the launcher and server to the E: drive but on the launcher it still shows that its looking for the files on the C: drive. How do I fix this? Running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and Java 64bit.

The location is hard coded, you have to use a runtime argument to let it store data on the other drive.

SET APPDATA=foldertoput.minecraftin
java -jar minecraft.jar

You can also learn how to use Hardlinks. It might also help with the problem.
