Windows 7 64-bit
Java 7 Update 9
Nvidia Geforce 550 Ti
Drivers version 306.97
My client just freezes after a minute or two of playing! Never had this problem before, but since the Nvidia drivers they released I've been crashing randomly ever since. Now that I'm updated to 1.4.6 minecraft, it's freezing almost instantly! The error message I get around 5 minutes later says something about Nvidia drivers crashing because of OpenGl. At first, I thought I had Advanced OpenGl on in minecraft, but I had it off. When I turned it on the same thing happend, and the same error occurred.
Anyone know about OpenGl and what it does? Maybe if I change a setting in my Nvida control panel I'll be able to play again. Thanks for any help!!!

OpenGL changes the way minecraft renders geometry that isn't visible.
Some users see perfomance changes, some don't (Me.)
I would try toying around with the settings on the Nvidia control panel, and seeing if they work. It could be that it doesn't like the options you chose.
try it, let meh know!
