Well, I am officially stuck. So, for a while now I have just been dealing with Minecraft with Java 1.5, the initial splash screen a jumbled html mess, unable to read books but now I won't be able to play? I think its time I plead my case to the Gurus of minecraftforum.net and hope that we can get this solved.
So, why Java 1.5? Through my best efforts (best meaning long nights reading forum posts) I am unable to upgrade to 1.6 or 1.7 Java without getting "Bad Video Card" errors on Minecraft. And I know what you're gonna say, UPDATE YOUR DRIVES. I assure you I have I have gone to the Intel Site, ran the scanner and it says that my drivers are up-to-date:
