Right, bit of a problem here. I recently (~three weeks ago) bought Minecraft and downloaded the client (I'm running Mac OS X version 10.7.5, btw). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to open the client at all. I downloaded the Mac version of the client, unzipped it, and put it into my Applications folder. However, when I try to open it, it bounces a few times on the sidebar before closing again, with nary a window opened. I have also had some trouble playing the in-browser version, in Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions?

I realize it's a faux pas to bump your own thread, but I still haven't got a response, and I'd rather not start a new one. Any suggestions?

Just looked it up. According to the source I found, RAM can't be manually allocated on an application basis on OSX.

Again, I hate to self-bump, but I'd really like to be able to play the game at some point. Any advice is welcome and appreciated.
