Black Textures

I have been having a problem with my textures lately and specific items will have a black background behind them such as torches, pumpkin stems, swords/tools, mobs, ect. and I was wondering if anyone had any solutions. I've updated my java version and I have no idea how to fix this. I've even reinstalled my client and no luck. Please help!

Are you using a custom texture pack? Or did you edit any textures?

In case you did edit textures, make sure the background is transparent. if it is a color, (like white or black) It'll render the background too.

I deleted my .minecraft folder, downloaded a new installer, reinstalled it. still black.
