I have a Mac Mini running OSX 10.7 and Java 6. I have two Logitech MX Anywhere M905 mice. I have the latest (at the time of posting) version of the Logitech lcc driver. Mouse behaviour is normal in most respects however in Minecraft, the scroll wheel is hypersensitive; the hotbar selection moves too quickly to select what I want.
I have:
- swapped out the mice
- tried different USB ports (including on a hub and directly into the Mac)
- tested with MC 1.2.5, 1.42 and 1.4.5
- tried Java 7
- tested other apps (works fine, scrolling in the browser)
- tested the mice on my windows laptop (also fine).
An internet search a while ago suggested it's due to a bug in Java although I cannot verify this. I do not have a non-Logitech mouse to test whether it's a quirk or the Logitech firmware or driver. Further searching tonight hasn't enlightened me at all. I know that I can use a Windows PC but I'd rather use my Mac. I am aware that I can use the number keys to select however I would prefer to use the mousewheel.
Can anyone provide more information on this problem? Do many people running MC under OSX have this same problem? Has anyone found a solution?
