So I registered for a new account. (Today) via minecraft.net. I get the validation email and go through that quick process. It comes back good. I can logon to the mindcraft.net just fine. In fact it shows my email address and shows me logged in. I download the client, and when I login... (With the email and password I just registered), I get log in failed. I then used another account, one that had paid for it. The person that told me about minecraft. I was able to login as them and download the full game. But after I exit, and go back to put my info, I get login failed.
What is going on, what am I doing wrong, what is broken that I can't play with my new account to demo the game and then most likely buy it.

I've heard this issue come up a couple times today, a good way to demo the game is to just download the client from someone who own it, and play offline. Of course, this is a illegitimate way of playing, but since the demo doesn't seem to be working, i suppose that will suffice.
What is going on, what am I doing wrong, what is broken that I can't play with my new account to demo the game and then most likely buy it.
