Three days ago, I decided to try the new "Open to LAN" feature with a friend. Prior to this decision, I've had over a year of fantastic performance from Minecraft, on max video settings and full screen. The day after I (successfully) try the "Open to LAN" feature, I suddenly find my game severely hindered in FPS; as my game world loads, it becomes slower and slower. This happens whether I am playing single or multiplayer, online or offline. I have tried reducing the rendering distance, but has little effect on FPS quality. I've also "uninstalled" Minecraft and updated my Java, as well as my graphics drivers, but no luck.
Thank you for any help you can provide! I'm anxiously looking forward to playing again unhindered.
