When I launch minecraft I get a Launch4j window saying "The registry refers to a nonexistent Java Runtime Environment installation or the runtime is corrupt. The system cannot find path specified."
I realize there already is a post about this error (http://www.minecraft...me-environment/) however it seems all they came up with is go to control panel and uninstall everything related to java and install it again. I did this a couple times but it doesn't work and I'm getting the same error. According the the java tester (http://www.java.com/...ad/testjava.jsp) I have the newest version of java and its working properly. Do you guys know of any other fixes?
I have similar trouble with launching Minecraft on this computer as well, especially with the Java Runtime Environment 1.5.0 and have deleted and RE-installed all java 2x... tempted to find the file needed and copy and rename the copy 1.5.0. This was a simple fix to a similar problem my mom's pc had with her screensavers won from Pogo. And the quick fix method worked just fine. Anyone have a suggestion for that?
How about helping with this error message every time I attempt to run the launcher/installer and I haven't even completely installed the Minecraft game, yet, either... Cannot Run Java Virtual Machine or something of the sort. Any xifes for this? I have re-installed JV again... no avail...
I've been up, down, and all around the net for a total of 2 days straight (about 8 cumulative hours) trying multiple fixes and such..... Have any of y'all had any luck? This is truly depressing, frustrating, and downright maddening.....
If any of yall still haven't found out (which you probably have). The reason it kept saying this for me because I move the 'java' file out or 'program files(x86)' into 'programs files'. I did this because it wouldn't work for my bukkit server. Now it's either bukkit server which it needs to be in 'programs files', and minecraft it needs to be in 'programs files(x86)'. But I haven't found a way around this yet.
