so i got a new computer yesterday and its windows 8. been playing minecraft and everything is fine till it kicks me off saying out of memory and i redid java and i have lots of ram so there is no way its out of memory so i dont know whats wrong. anyone have any suggestions to what could be wrong?
To my knowledge, it's usually because Windows 8 doesn't have fully compatible drivers for all hardware yet, but I'm not sure. Try updating your drivers.

and for the others i didnt want windows 8 i wanted 7 but this computer was on sale and i can always uninstall it. i thought about giving it a chance before i did that.... thanks for the help
When Minecraft says "Out of memory!", it's based on the Java heap size, I believe. You should always wait a year or so before you get a new operating system.
