When I try and play minecraft it says (cant Download) when I try and login and when I enter my .minecraft folder it has nothing in it.

No, I did open the application however when I click login after entering my username and password and hitting login it says (cant download)
I have tried force updating.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
