Hey guys,

I'm new to the game, I just got it actually, but I know there must be something actually wrong. When I click the left mouse button to pick at a block (creative or survival) it does nothing. I have searched around to try and solve this problem, but to no avail. I AM holding the mouse button down, and I AM in either survival or creative. If Im in creative and try to destroy a block, it will put that substance in my hand, but will not destroy it. I've even tried switching the controls. Please help!

what im pretty sure you did is that you changed your middle click key to your left click key. So how to fix that? Go to your controlos in your menu (esc). Hit options then hit controls. Left click the "Attack" key. Then hit it again with a left click. Hope that works

also make sure you adjust the "pick lock" key to something else like middle click. Change it by left clicking then hit any button on your keyboard that you want it to be

You could also do the above in the configs for more customization. You find these in .minecraft folder in your roaming data.

Thanks guys, I really appreciate you trying to help. I have made sure that it's set to "button 1" which is my left mouse button. I've also tried changing it to other keys though and it still won't work at all. I have not mined a single brick since i got the game. So i know its not my mouse, because all of the other commands work mostly.

So when you hold down the left mouse button your character punches repeatedly correct? What OS are you running?
