Hey, I'm new to the forums, so help me out here. My computer lags a bit well I'm playing Minecraft. So I went to the settings to fix it and I pressed the "Full Screen" button. As soon as I did, my screen went completely black. I shut it down using task manager, but when i got on again, it let me log and then it would go black again. I tried clicking around the screen and i heard buttons being pressed, but no screen. So, could someone help me out? Thanks.

I am having this exact same issue. It persists whether I'm on the downloaded .exe or trying to play in-browser.

I am having the same issue with my game as well. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix?? Can't play at all.. I clicked "FULL SCREEN" and it went black. It will let me log on but as soon as I do it goes black!!

Are there more people having this issue as well? Hopefully someone can help us all!

Alrighty guys, I've fixed it on my machine. Try reinstalling via the instructions on the main FAQ... And remember not to push the fullscreen button again.

You don't need to reinstall. Just go into your .minecraft folder and open the options.txt file in notepad and change the line that says Fullscreen=true to Fullscreen=false. Alternatively you can just delete the file and the game will make a new one with default settings.

Don't press that Full screen button! It's prone to problems. Once I did that and it gave me an error log, but it changed back to fullscreen=false setting. Do what rodabon says, to go into the settings and change fullscreen=true to fullscreen=false
