Hi! For some reason my custom skin has disappeared. I'm now stuck as Steve and I can't change it. I've re-uploaded my skin a few times, and waited more than a few minutes, and it won't update. What's going on here? It was just fine yesterday and I've made no changes to my client.
Any suggestions?
If I completely delete .minecraft and redownload everything there's no change. I don't think the problem is on my end.
Go to help.mojang.com to see if the skins are down. If they are, then that's why your skins aren't on. If the service is up, then something's wrong with your account.
Temporary fix, grab your skin. Open the minecraft.jar and replace the skin.png in the minecraft.jar with your skin. This will replace all instances of the "steve" skin with your skin!
char.png, not skin.png I believe. Of course now I can't tell if it's working or not because my skin looks right regardless
