I am currently having an issue with Minecraft where blocks do not seem to connect properly and are always outlined regardless of distance away or type.
I have reinstalled a few times and it does not solve the problem for me.
Update your video card drivers. I've had this issue before on my desktop PC (Which is a low-end gaming PC from 2007, so old video card)
and updating the video card whenever there are driver updates has fixed issues here and there for me.
