I've explored several forum posts/sites and still cannot seem to figure out the problem. I find it funny that Alpha and Beta never lagged for me, but now current game lags after 20 minutes.

Specs:
8 Gigabytes of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 555
Intel i7-2600, Quad Core,3.40GHz
1 TB Hard Drive

Do you have the 32 bit java installed instead of 64?
