Topic says it pretty much. Minecraft runs fine, I enters fullscreen just fine, but when I exit fullscreen mode, by any means (via menu, pressing F11 again or alt-tab). It used to spend a few seconds on a black screen, then exit to the desktop, with a message from Windows saying the display driver had crashed and had been recovered. This does not happen anymore, when I exit fullscreen, my screen goes black, I can see the mouse cursor in the middle of the screen for a few seconds, then the screen goes black. I then hold the power button on my pc for a few seconds, and it restarts. Everything works fine, apart from exiting fullscreen minecraft.
Can you give a little info about the system you're running on? Model,OS, specs, version of java you're running, .
If you haven't updated your video driver in awhile, you might do that.
It's possible this might be a focus issue. What happens if you press alt+tab or Windows key+tab when the black screen is up? Is the system really frozen or is the application just hung?
Another possibility is that you're running minecraft on Java 32 bit on a 64 bit OS?

It is 64 bit java, no the computer acctully crashes. Same as a bluescreen, but no bluescreen, you could say.
Specs:
i7 3770k, graphics: intel hd 4000, 16 gb 1600mhz ram.
That is about all the specs that matter, but if i can get it fixed, I am getting a better graphics card soon, so the problem won't really matter.
Also, the bug doesn't happen with a old hd 5450 card I had lying around.
EDIT:
Intel released a driver update at some point last night. The problem is now fixed.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
