I've been trying to connect to Minecraft servers on two different computers. One is a MacBook on OS X 10.5.8 (its kind of old so it won't update any higher than that), and the other is a PC Desktop on Windows 7.
Both say the same thing. Every time i put any address it says:
"Failed to connect to server
Connection Timed out: connect"
and when I go to Multiplayer, it just says:
"Scanning for LAN Worlds"
and just stays loading like that no matter how long I leave it.
I have even tried it on different internet connections.
Try Force updating the client. Otherwise i dont think this is a problem with the server, but rather a problem with the client and it belongs in one of the Client support sections, either modded, or un-modded.
umm i'm sorry, but can a moderator delete this post? i didn't know this post was moved to the correct section and i reposted it in the Clients section with slightly more information
