Ever since the update to 1.4.4 I've been having troubles with the Nether in a server I often visit. I haven't tested this in single player or other servers, so I'm not 100% sure if it's the server (which is using Bukkit, though still remains mostly vanilla). It definitely only started happening since the 1.4.4 pre-release though.
The game almost always crashes as soon as I enter the Nether, and it will then crash within a few seconds of re-joining the server as many as 4 times in a row before stabilizing. It seems to be entirely random as far as I can tell, sometimes it doesn't even crash at all, and when it does it only happens when I first enter and for a short period of time thereafter.
Is anyone else having a similar problem? I searched and couldn't find any recent threads related to game crashes in the Nether. I may do some testing in single player to see if the same sort of thing happens.
