Minecraft Forums

I tried to revert back to the vanilla Minecraft by downloading a new zip file and have no success launching it!! The error message says "this file is damaged, move it to the trash". I did delete all ~/Library files before downloading, and no new library files load after the zip file is launched... What's Up with this?? I am new to this and could use advice to get my son up and running again.
