when i get in minecraft it shows the mojang logo and blacks out. i waited for a long time, but it doesn't do any thing. i also tried un/reinstaled it. what sould i do?

But anyways are you sure you downloaded from the proper Minecraft website?

What is your operating system? If you are using Linux, you need to download the proper LWJGL files. You'll have to do a quick Google search to find them.

If you're on Windows, Mac, or if you already have the proper LWJGL files to run Minecraft on Linux, then are you also attempting to run mods? If so, have you deleted the META-INF file? If not, you'll need to do so.

Also try removing some mods, if you're running them and see if that fixes it.

If none of these options work, try deleting the contents of your Minecraft bin folder and update Minecraft and it will re-download the necessary files for you.

it works now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my mom hit options and force update. now it works.
