My girlfriend just left for work and she asked me if I would work on her world under my account. She wanted me to get started on a nether world portal and wanted me to get her some blaze rods. Long story short... I entered the portal, got shot by one of those giant ghosts (I think they are called "Ghasts"? forgive me if I am wrong) and java crashed. I couldn't get back into the world without java crashing. sometimes it won't even fully load the world.
I don't know what to do. I begged her to try Minecraft for a very long time and I'm hoping she gets her own account someday so we can play together on a server. I finally got her to play. Now she has about 12 stacks of diamonds among other great things and achievements. I don't want to delete this world or else she'll be heartbroken when she comes home from work.
Please is there anyway I can retrieve this world?
I have a i7, 6gb of ram, 1gb of video, a 1tb hhd and a 1.5tb hhd if that helps anything. Plus my java updates automatically.
I need help seriously. I feel like a creep and I don't know how I can break this to her. Please help.
Nevermind. I remembered I had MCedit. I just "moved" the player. I just feel like I'm cheating when I use an editing program. Oh well. Thanks for your time anyway.

I'm still a noob when it comes to this stuff. I looked around for other programs and I got one that boosts the games memory. I doubt that it can help matters, but I just wanted to try it anyway. I know I can boost the memory in notepad for servers, but I wasn't sure for single player. I'm guessing by the terminology I'm using, I sound like a layman when it comes to computers.
But I think the problem was that I teleported too fast back and forth to the nether world since I just first entered it recently in her world. I don't think it had time to properly load. I'm thinking of erasing the chunks from the nether world dimension of her world and re-enter it again to maybe start it over. I don't know if this will help or make matters worse. I was going to try MCedit again to erase the nether world, but I am going to make a backup of her world if I end up doing that.
I don't know. I'm going about this the easiest way possible. I should probably be open to suggestions and try to do things right the first time. If anyone suggests anything, I will try that, but in the mean time, I will try my way since it can't hurt as long as I make a backup of her world.

Try running this error testing tool and post the report here. Also if there are any error reports on the desktop post one of those as well.
(I am laughing so hard right now *sorry*)

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
That may only be a temporary fix. Good luck!
