So, 75% of the worlds I start, spawn me in a block, or underwater in a block, or underground in a block. I've started 4 games so far, 3 of them did the above mentioned. Is this a known bug getting fixed or has been fixed? It's doing the same to my girlfriend as well. This is the first time I've played since 1.4.2. They were all different seeds.
So I started 4 more worlds, two user seeds and two N/A. One of the users stuck me in a block, and one of the N/A did, so it seems that doesn't matter. Destroying the block I'm on fixes it, if I don't start underground suffocating.
If a seed does spawn you in a bad location, you can try it again but if it does put you back in the same spot, it'll happen every time.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
