Just when I made big door structures and a wither spawner, Minecraft has no sound. I deleted the world, and still, no sound. I looked in the .jar, and there's the sound files! For some reason, Minecraft just wants to be junk craft and refuses to play the sounds.
Sound files aren't in the jar, they are in the resources folder.
You should try disabling your firewall/antivirus for 10 minutes while playing minecraft.
Some AV/firewalls, can block the sound download.
Sounds download while playing, not during the initial download of the game.
