i have tried EVERYTHING:
un-installed several times
updated my drivers
deleted everything out out of the roaming file
ran it as an administrator
im up against the wall and need help
i have a server and cant get on to keep an eye on it!
i dont have a horrible laptop the CPU isnt great but it gets the job done
i was playing just fine 2 days ago but yesterday and today it wouldnt do anything when i click on the minecraft.exe on my desktop. wont even show up in the task manager.
please help

Ok first thing to do is uninstall all your java installs and download Java JRE 64bit. Many people don't realize that by default Windows 64bit uses the 32 bit version of Internet Explorer or they use another 32 bit browser and when you go to the Oracle site to download java it detects the use of a 32 bit browser and give you the 32 bit version of java. Java 64 bit runs minecraft much better on a 64bit OS like you have.
Since you say your laptop isn't exactly a powerhouse I would recommend installing the older Java 6 JRE which is a little lighter resource wise. It can be difficult to manually find the download you want on Oracle so here is a link for a download for Java 6 if you want to get it this way instead.
Try that and then report back on any issues you're still having.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
