I am relatively new to Minecraft. I was playing on my usual map just fine earlier in the evening yesterday but some something went wrong. What happened was that when I tried to start it again I responded in a wall and died when I tried to restore it to a previous point I would respond in a random location because my home bed was not available. When I made it back to where my home base is I found that parts of my structures were missing. Basically a good amount of the progress I made was missing. To give you an idea, I had a towers all over the map with a bridge connecting them. They also had tracks with power rails with a glass tower on one end of the map. I also had nether portals and many more rare items. When I try to recall when this started happening it started back a couple of weeks ago when Minecraft prompted me to update. After that my mine carts started jerking as they were going down the tracks. The missing structures did not come until later.
Has anyone ever run into this problem before?
