Ok soo i have not played minecraft in about 9 months and figured i woulod make a server for me and the wife.. Welll. when i went to go open the Minecraft_server.exe it would not open... So i went and dl minecraft client and it would patch and stop and game dl at teh end. and would freeze. and now i cant login to minecraft.net on launcher.. soo i cleared my bin. deleted it all and re downloaded and all that good stuff and still the same thing... any help guys???

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.

Second, can you copy paste the content of your hosts file here. Directions on how to do so:
- navigate to the folder C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc
- open the file name hosts with notepad or an equivalent text editor.
- copy and paste the contents of that file to this thread.
Once I have this information, I can attempt to solve your issue. Quote me when you respond please.
