Ever since Apple stopped making their version of Java and left it up to Oracle, things just having been running nearly as well on my 2009 Mac mini (8 GB RAM & 75 GB free on boot disc). The world is not loading fast anymore. I'm constantly having to wait for the world to render before I can move. Considering I play in Survival mode this can make it very frustrating when I'm being attacked and can't tell where to go.
Yes I've rebooted and held down the shift key so that nothing starts up (except the base OS) when I'm logging onto the computer and have only started Minecraft.
Any suggestions? Do I need to delete a cache somewhere or something?
Note that I did try to search to see if anyone else was having this problem. It all started when Apple automatically removed their own version of Java and I was prompted to download Oracle's version.
Any suggestions (that are constructive to fixing this issue) are greatly appreciated.
