I've been working on one word for awhile, and at one point I decided to use MCedit to fill in an area with dirt. Then I used to move player function to move myself (as I was inside the area now filled with dirt) then upon trying to load the world back up it crashes (other worlds still work just fine), and its not even a normal mc crash, either the window just closes. Or if I'm lucky I get a window popping up saying "Java™ Platform SE binary has stopped working".
Any help? 'Cuz I really don't want to lose all the work I've put in this world!

Not trying to be a jerk here, but it looks like someone just learned the hard way to BACKUP his world files BEFORE editing.
open your world with mcedit, attempt to remove the dirt you placed and move your guy somewhere else. I used to have this problem with an older map editing tool based on Omen where, if I put something in the map that wasn't supposed to be there, like a sponge, the game would freeze. Also, try moving your guy to a different chunk. Then, run the game and see if you can walk BACK to where the problem was. If it crashes, you know you've got some blocks that are either illegal or in an illegal position.

In a worse case scenario, assuming you still can open it with mcedit, you can always start a new map and put your structures there. You can do this directly with mcedit or host your world as a multiplayer map and instal the world edit/world guard plugins and insert the structures in game.

Pretty much >.< has anyone found a fix though?
