Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

Yeah, that thing.
I want to make clear that I HAVE:
Tried to update to the latest drivers for my video card, I own a Radeon 9700/9500 Pro.
I did research on the Radeon 9700/9500 Pro saying that it supports 2.0 OpenGL
I used the OpenGL Viewer it said my Radeon 9700/9500 Pro card was using 1.1
I am assuming that my OpenGL drivers failed to install, so I tried reinstalling my drivers, this keeps happening.
Bad video card drivers!

Second. After you install those, or reinstall those. I don't care if you think you did already, do it again. =)
Post a dxdiag report if you are still having problems. how to get and post a dxdiag: http://www.minecraft...how-to-post-it/
Note: I have tried installing this before, but (even though the screen went black) I'm pretty sure my froze during installation, the music/sounds randomly stopped.
But I tried again (Since you told me to)
And it went black and the display came back fine...
The second time it went black it went black for a little longer... Then my display came back very very very glitchy.
I couldn't really see much but many colors, vertical rectangles with multi colored rectangles, all parallel, and blinkingish.
Hard to describe...
But now I am in Safe Mode with Networking trying to reinstall and if that doesn't work, uninstall.

Retired StaffI went to safe mode with networking, enabled something to let me uninstall all AMD/ATI drivers.
The glitch went away, thankfully.
Reinstalled my drivers, went back to install the link you sent me to do a "Test" to see if it was a hardware problem.
Turns out this time it installed perfect and I have no clue what that glitch was.
Since I installed the link, MineCraft works for me now.
Thank you very much!
