It's weird.
I go into the Nether. It's all fine. I do it again. Still fine. I have a panic attack from seeing a Ghast and almost die. I leave the Nether. I come back. Still fine. The Ghast blows me up. Death Screen. No tears because I remembered to put away my diamond tools. Runs back to Nether Portal on the top of the house. Runs in portal. Crash.
This isn't the first file either. My previous one I got slightly further. I found a Nether fortress and a Blaze spawner. But I died during putting the cobble down. Run back in to the portal. Crash. Once I re log in I see I'm in the nether. My hopes rise, only to fall again to get the familiar message: Java has stopped responding. Searching for a resolution to the problem.
The weird thing is, it only happens on unmodded minecraft. Tekkit and Technic and YogBox and all the others work just fine, It's ONLY my vanilla minecraft. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Try deleting the .minecraft\bin\ folder.
Just the bin folder. It won't remove any of your saves.
The next time you launch MC it will redownload the files, hopefully fixing the problem.
