I just bought the game and downloaded the client, and whenever I log in, it gives me the option to update or not. If I hit "yes", then it gets stuck at "downloading packages," and if I click "not now," it gets stuck at "done loading." My java is up to date, I have tried deleting the .minecraft folder, I tried deleting and redownloading everything a few times, I copied the files from another computer, and the version on the minecraft website does the same thing. I am running windows xp. Any help is greatly appreciated!
