I've been trying to play minecraft on my mac for a month now. If anyone can help or give me tips. I would be very happy.

-yes i do have the recent java
-yes i am downloading the right link

no i cannot launch the jar. All it says is when i download it is that it is broken and is recommended to move to the trash can.
