I have a problem with minecraft running on a 512 bit texturepack. Running minecraft normally (with everything maximized for quality in optifine) fps tends to hover around 200, using 50-60% of my gpu core. However, when i switch to a 512 bit texturepack, my fps stays between 55-65 and, but lags and sputters quite a lot, using only around 30% of my gpu core. It also tends to freeze and max my hard drive for a few seconds. I have been playing minecraft for about as long as its existed and have been able to fix all other problems ive had myself. This one, however, i have no idea what to do about. my system should be more then capable to run this just fine but it simply wont. I run minecraft with 2 gb of ram alloccated and i have adjusted all of my settings in nvidia control panel as i see fit. Please post if anyone else has been having this problem or has a fix.
