Hello all Miners, I'm new here and I really have a problem that can only be solved here.
I recently bought Windows 8 and I downloaded the Minecraft Launcher,
I entered my email and password[still haven't bought the game yet] and it said I could play offline.
I waited for 2 minutes it showed me the error
Here are my specs:
Processor: AMD Athlon[tm] II Dual-Core M300 2.0 GHz
Display Adapters: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4200 Series
ACPI x64 based PC

Drivers are always the biggest issue when the latest windows OS comes out.
That video is awfully specific... it worked for him because he had other drivers installed to choose from but this is usually not the case and generally poor advice to follow. It is best to get drivers from the card manufacturer.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.

It should work after installing this http://support.amd.com/us/kbarticles/Pages/catalystlegacywin8.aspx but there's also a chance it may not because that display adapter is only partially supported for Win 8.
