I love Minecraft, I used to play it every day, but I've hit an error. You see, every time I do play it, I get a few nasty Rootkits, it usually takes me 4-6 hours to remove them all, and I've ended up just removing my Minecraft files. I really want to play again, but the Rootkits strops again from a freshly downloaded vanilla launcher. They're generally easy to spot, the graphics will spaz out, then my graphics driver will crash. This consistently occurs when I play Minecraft, watch videos, or play other games, until I've nearly wiped my computer. I'm actually posting this from my iPad, as it also kills most of my virus protection programs. (I use a 1 gig card with all my drivers updated)
I really want to return to Minecraft, but I also need my computer for studies and the like, so if anyone at all has a suggestion to help, it'll be greatly appreciated.
Either get help at a virus help site to thoroughly analyze your system and make sure it is clean or just do a reinstall of your OS. Either option will be pretty involved time wise, but at least you can do the OS one yourself and will know it's clean. It can be frustrating to hunt down all the permutations.
If you do a clean install I recommend making a backup of your system so that you can just restore the clean backup if you have problems again in the future. Also be sure to get an antivirus installed and scan any removable drives before putting files back onto the clean install.

Thanks, I have considered a reinstall before, (into hour 3 of 4) and I probably will, but I do have a hunch about it. It'll take some testing, but I should have it fixed without resulting to anything else.

I tried it with terrible results. I gave my wife my glasses for a second, a creeper showed up and now my wife is pregnant.
Stupid 3D..
