Hi everyone, I recently bought minecraft off the mojang website, created an account and everything. downloaded the client, logged in and was away punching trees.
i recently modified my .jar file, and decided to redownload it by forcing update. however when i tried loggin into minecraft it told me it failed and i could try again or play offline (i wanted to connect to the sever for a clean jar so i didnt play offline), i tried using the magic client mod loader, it told me i had an invalid username or password. i tried logging into minecraft.net, same thing, invalid username and password.
HOWEVER i can log into mojangs website and redownload the client. but i receive the same errors.
i skulked around some locked threads but links the mod posted have not helped. I HAVE been using my full mojang username (that is my email adress) to log in to no avail.
is anyone else experiencing this issue? if a mod locks this please dont give me a cookie cutter explanation. whats going on? should i be worried about my account? or will things be hunky dory soon?
Yes. This is happening to me right now. I bought it off Mojang and now nothing works. My log in won't get me into the game and it won't let me onto the minecraft website. One thing I have noticed is if I log into mojang first then go to account and click minecraft from there it takes me to the minecraft website but logged in as me. However this is no way to work around this on the game and that is all that really matters since I do not want to be playing the game in my web browser. Also, before anyone wants to be clever by saying I need to log in with me email address and password I have already been doing that and it does not work at all.
okay skulking around more it seems to be working for people now. but i'd still like some clarification as to whats happened. these are peoples accounts here, and not being able to log in is scary.
Yeah, I can connect to minecraft.net, but using the client I am unable to get anything other than "Login failed", and I don't even have any mods to potentially cause some weird bug :\
Tested on another account as well.
