Don't bother. A mod will just come in, lock your thread and give you a link to a site that does not help at all. It has happened to 2 other threads. I went to the link he provided and found NOTHING useful or even mentioning this problem.

looks like the email based login server is having issues, i get the same thing. non-migrated accounts work fine.

I got it too.I thought i had been hacked LOL

I have a 5 day old minecraft account, i know nothing about migration.
All of a sudden, invalid username or password, although i am able to play through my browser (http://minecraft.net/play) minus my texture pack.

The server status page mentions no faults and i was about to go through the extended hassle of reinstalling the client.

so again, thank you for saving me the bother

I just wish we would get an answer about this instead of the threads being locked and us pushed aside. Most likely I will get in trouble for expressing my opinion, but this is ridiculous.

This is entirely ridiculous. Incidentally I also cant login to the Minecraft page with my migrated acct. So its definitely an issue with the minecraft.net site.

I have a non-migrated Mojang account.

the migration was for minecraft logins to migrate to Mojang. (i think)

But my login was a Mojang login from day one.

I can login to the Mojang website but not the minecraft.net one.


so, the fault lies with minecraft.net failing to link to Mojang.

Yes, this is ridiculous. I made an account just to say that the link the mods provided in the other two topics are useless, and provide zero help on the situation.

honestly im frustrated. i was playing like 3 hours ago and now i cant play. they need to give us answers. when i pay for a game i expect to get answers to my problems for the support team not some link that leads me to nothing. either A. give us an answer or B. dont even bother responding with that link that doesnt even help us.

Add my voice to those who may get in trouble. I just saw the moderator response to the thread I'd posted in and all I can say to him/her is this:

"Minor issue" my **** - non-mojang accounts can log in. Migrated accounts cannot log in. That's not a "minor issue" and it is NOT covered by the "help" section of Mojang's web page.

Telling people to check there first is like telling someone who has already done basic troubleshooting steps to consult the built-in troubleshooter programs on one's PC or to consult the trouble shooter FAQs through official sites.

They are utterly worthless and written for the people who need to be reminded that bathing with a plugged in hair dryer is a bad idea.

Yeah I agree. Besides the link being worthless, they lock the thread. Also, the way it's worded. Go check this before bothering to post. Just plain rude.

I TOTALLY agree with whats being said here. i paid for a game and i expect to be able to play it. i play single player and its BS that i cant even play because of this crap!!!! and now we are being ignored and pushed aside by the mods!!!!

I came here have the same problems as this, but I checked the mojang site where it shows the server/web/ect.. and it says its all fine. Is it really?
