So, I have a few portals built on my game. When I walk into the overworld portals, I arrive in the Nether facing the wrong direction. They worked normally before 1.4, I didn't play during 1.4.2, but it must have been altered sometime in the last couple patches.
Anyone know if this is intended or a bug?
It's very annoying for me personally - I have a series of portals set up to create a quick-travel network, and now when you walk through one, you're looking at a wall instead of properly facing outward to the hallway...
When I enter a portal in creative mode, I exit in the correct direction. In normal mode, I am facing the wrong direction when I exit the portal inside the Nether.
Yep, I've been seeing this too and it's driving me nuts. All of my portals are oriented to match in both dimensions, but in 1.4.2 and 1.4.4 my orientation seems to sometimes (not always, I haven't figured out the pattern yet) get reset to f0 after traveling through a portal. I did some testing in multiplayer, and a person on the other side of a portal observed that when I threw ender pearls through a portal that should have been oriented such that they would come straight out the front, they instead ended up going sideways and hitting the obsidian frame of the portal. Seems that orientation/velocity preservation isn't working correctly.
