So, I have an issue with beds. Simply put, they aren't working. It says the usual missing/obstructed message, but I assure you its not.

Ceiling is three blocks high. Bed is placed with empty spaces ALL around it, right smack in the middle of the room. Floor is made of wool.

Room looks like this where 'X' denotes a wall:

Help please.

Does the fact that no one has answered this question mean that no one cares? Or that no one knows the answer? Because I have the same question, and I've seen other people asking the same question, so that begs another question.

Is this issue some bug, or corrupted save file or what?

Sleeping the whole night.

Its not a world thing, made a brand new world just to test the bed theory. Bed was placed IN THE OPEN. Sleeping all night yielded the same result. Bed Missing Or Obstructed.

What's going on?

Reinstall the game?

I can confirm this problem - returning from the End after having slept in my home bed (multiple times), I suddenly got this error message.

I have recently installed Forge, and I have experienced some other glitches (in Creative mode, placing blocks at the limit of my 'reach' caused the block to flicker into existance for a moment before disappearing).

Turns out its a Forge error.

Update to the latest edition (NON recommended) and make sure you have Minecraft 1.4.5 (or the forge won't work). This fixes the problem.

Yeah, it's forge for 1.4.4. Tried it without any other mods and it still made the error. The maker of forger replied to me essentially saying that he wasn't gonna fix it, and if I wanted to use forge without the bed problem to use the 1.4.5 version or deal with it. So if you are having this problem too, the solution apparently is upgrade minecraft to 1.4.5, use 1.4.4 and deal with it, or don't use any mods that need forge.
