Hello fellow minecrafters yesterday i installed windows 8 onto my windows 7 computer. I noticed that minecraft will not start and will give me an error. As the title states it has something to do with either the OpenGL or the driver software for my computer. I have looked up many youtube videos but their ways do not work. The current driver on my computer is ATI mobility Radeon HD 5000. The error code when i open minecraft is this:
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.

Try going to the website of your PC manufacturer and getting drivers.
Sometimes you either have to install the new Windows 8 drivers (if they have them) or reinstall the Windows 7 drivers. As Windows 8 is relatively new, there is a small chance of there being no working drivers yet.

Alright thanks, i have lenovo thing is their website is being fairly slow. I will post if that does not work.
Minecraft isn't working for me either, i can't join any online servers.
Please do not hijack other threads. For future reference, make your own thread.
Also, in this case, it's because the Minecraft servers are down. You can check their status here.

Get drivers from AMD directly for your display adapter model. Do not go to Lenovo. PC manufacturers rarely update their drivers.
