Hey everyone, so Ive been playing MC recently again and updated to the latest MC version and I had noticed that my FPS was capped at 30. I do rememeber a while back I was getting around 80-100 fps before when I first got MC. I know my laptop can handle it, i mean im using 2 480M GTX SLI nvidia cards soooooooo it should run MC no problem which makes me believe their is some sort of limiter on the FPS somehwere. Ive tried pretty much everyhting, I chnged the settings in my nvidia controlpanel to turn on the graphic cards when using javaw.exe, I put the option to max FPS in game, hell i even tried using optifine. I just dont know what else I could try. So maybe some other people can help me out.

Sounds like you may have the Minecraft video setting for performance set to powersaver which limits FPS.

nope checked that too. Forgot about saying that as well, it was like one of the first things I did check lol

What is your laptops processor? Also are you playing windowed or fullscreen?
