So my son was having a problem where minecraft would crash shortly after he started playing. We got the following error message and we got two suggestions from the forum. One was that we might have one key or mouse button bound to more than one command. The indeed was the case so we made sure each command was assigned to a unique key. Someone else suggested we update the lwjgl file, which I did. Now immediately after log in the screen goes black. Any suggestions?

My son plays in creative mode. When he starts up his existing world, it is night time. He wants to put his character to bed. But his character won't go into the bed. When he goes into his inventory the game crashes. He gets the following error message:
Minecraft has crashed!

I'm not so good at apple support so here goes nothing o.o
Have you tryed force updating minecraft? before you log on there is a option button click that in their will be a option to force update. This normaly removes ALL mods and config files you have saved.
He could also be using a modded version of Minecraft. If you know how to, extract the minecraft.jar file and delete the META-INF folder.
If you don't know how to do that, just Force Update like the person above me said.
Thanks for your suggestion. I did the force update and that improved the situation - it now lauches. But when he clicks the mouse button, nothing happens - still can't go to be, open doors, smash stuff. Instead, I see a backslash appear in the lower left corner of the screen.
This almost sounds like a mouse problem. Is it a USB mouse? if so can you change the port its plugged into and see if that helps any? (You might want to check to see if he is in survival mode or creative if he is adventure mode you will not beable to break any bricks.)
