I have a decent laptop and it should run minercaft perfectly fine with and intel core i5 and 6 gb of ddr3 ra. but when i play minecraft i get like 10-20 fps and i use optifine, i set the affinity, i set the priority but it never helps and also i want to record. people say minecraft will run on a pentium processor...I HAVE AN I5!!! and minecraft doesnt run well on it. its an inspiron 1464 and i have had it for like a 1-2 now please help i just want it to run at 30 fps and all my settings are low and it still doesnt run very well. and also server lag is the worst i have good internet but i dont know why i still lag...PLEASE HELP ME... thanks you
Make sure you set the laptop for maximum performance, Your biggest loss in FPS is because you have integrated video. Best thing to do in your case is make sure you have java 64Bit and to lower your video settings.
