So I installed mine-craft and then tried to install world-edit. This completely broke down my mine-craft In order to fix the problem, I needed to delete my current installation of mine-craft and reinstall it. I deleted my mine-craft folder in my library/app support and then re-downloaded the zip from minecraft.net. Unfortunately this didn't recreate the folder and now all I have it the app and the jar/zip. I don't know what to do and would sincerely appreciate help.

(I already unpacked the zip, this made the app. I then changed the zip to a jar and nothing happened. Minecraft told me it wasn't downloaded.)

The only thing you download from minecraft.net is the launcher. All you have to do is log in on the launcher (you must have an internet connection of course) and it will download all of the needed files.

go into your name/library/application support/bun/and delete minecraft.jar. Should run smooth after that

A few dumb questions -

Where do I get the exe file then?

I have tried to 'force update' but nothing happens....

and I tried deleting the jar, heck, I deleted everything within the folder, and nothing worked. I checked everything, my computers fine.
