This is a strange problem with the use of the newer MC features. I tried to make a custom mob using NBT edit and it was all working fine. He attacked right, carried the right equipment and such. But, I had a lever set as the leggings because he was already carrying something.
So, it was all ok, MC never crashed, but when he dropped something not from his own mob type's drops, like the lever I had put to drop, it becomes a "ghost entity". I can pick it up, but when I right click with it, it just disappears. It is still floating where it was dropped and I can pick it up again and again, but it will not work at all when I right click with it to try placing it.
Has anyone experienced or know how to fix this problem? Thank you in advance.
(If anymore detail is needed, just ask what you want to know.)

I think this is because your client thinks the zombie dropped that lever, but the server thinks the zombie's leggings should not drop. If you make a diamond armor zombie holding a diamond (just an example :P) he won't drop his armor, correct? Only the diamond?

I had set the drop rate, so it should have thought so. Also, I've tried this in single player with the same results (unless you were talking about the internal SP server...).
I also did the diamond thing, same results as the lever, a "ghost entity" is created.
