Just setting up a Minecraft server and happy with my Hardware and RAM.
But whenever I log in to my server (tested - other servers, too (even when Bukkit is not launched)), minecraft starts to drop to 0 FPS in a minute. This makes impossible to build anything or work with plugins.
OptiFine is installed. I tried restricting every possible HW dropping setting, but it's useless.
What kind of specs does your computer have? If they're fairly good, then I would say there's something wrong with your router or your internet connection. Has this been going on the entire time you've had minecraft or only recently?
Sounds like updating video card drivers, using MCPatcher instead of Optifine, and any other lag-spike removing methods may solve this problem. Optifine is the culprit.
