I Downloaded Minecraft and clicked Run, and put it on my computer. So I double-clicked Minecraft to find The Minecraft News on the opener written in plain text. So I logged in, with the right username and password, and it said Cannot connect to minecraft.net. I have the right username and password, with internet of course! However, after I logged in and it said Cannot Coneect to minecraft.net, under Play Offline, it said (Not Downloaded). Please oh Please help me!

Me Neither I don't know wath's wrong i went on Minecraft.net and it said: Oop's it appears our server's are working a little bit too hard????:
Can someone send us How to fix this bug I was going to record but seem's it dosen't connect?

That problem is a bit diffrent. It means that Creators of minecraft are doing stuff on their servers. The website is up now.

The login server has been having issues. People with merged accounts seem to be having more issues with this.

To be honest, its on the CLIENT. IM having trouble logging in on the client on a Windows 7 Laptop.

Have you put exceptions for minecraft and Java into your firewall & antivirus? Perhaps they are blocking the connection.

No, I checked it and it wasnt firewalled and had exceptions for Antivirus.
