alright this error just happened to me today and i've forceupdated, i've redownloaded and nothing seems to work. whenever i log in and am waiting for it to get to the singleplayer/multiplayer selection screen it gets past the mojang screen then the launcher closes. no error code though it's reminiscent of a crash of an ipod app. any ideas on what's causing this and what could fix it?

try updating your video card drivers. i was having this problem and it solved it. took me a week to try that though...

the issue was that my client was continually running after i closed it. a glitch that occurs with firefox occasionally. i restarted my computer and now it works.
