Hello everybody I have install Minecraft and try to give it more memory so it will run better on my computer with less lag. This I YouTube for the help as there tons and different ways to do it. So I added the information and such but I still get the default memory from when Minecraft was install and no change. Can anybody help?
Windows 7 | 64-Bit
12GB Memory
Java 7 | 64-Bit
Game is install on second Hard Drive
Allocating more memory will cause more lag.
Minecraft doesn't need more then 1G to run, giving it more just increases the amount of data it's going to transfer back and forth from memory to disk.
You are more likely to get better performance, by decreasing the amount of memory allocated.

Retired StaffDo a force update, make sure you are using the latest mcpatcher.
Dude this is my thread about adding memory to Minecraft not your modding issue. Open a thread please.
